If you have been the victim of a crime, this service can provide emotional support, information about your rights, and referrals for those living in Vancouver and Burnaby. You don’t need to report a crime to the police to receive help.

Provides up to three hours of free legal advice to anyone in BC who has experienced their intimate images being shared without their consent or has been threatened with having their images shared. Their lawyer will explain your rights and legal options and help connect you with support services. This is a short-term pilot project until March 2025.

A province-wide, 24/7 multilingual service offering confidential support to young people impacted by youth violence or crime. Parents, teachers, and service providers who are worried about a young person's well-being can also seek assistance and information.

Law students will come to William Head Penitentiary and the Vancouver Island Regional Correctional Centre (Wilkinson Road) and may be able to provide advice and assistance to inmates.

Provides restorative justice services in the Greater Victoria Area, working with youth (ages 12 and up) and adults. This victim-centred approach aims to address the harms caused by crime and violence. This approach can be used instead of, alongside, or independently of the traditional justice system.

In BC, the Office to Combat Trafficking in Persons is responsible for the protection and well being of trafficked persons. If you suspect someone may be exploited or the victim of human trafficking, or if you would like some help or support, please call.

Helps First Nations, Métis, and Inuit who self-identify get a Gladue report. Fill out the information form online, or visit the Indigenous Justice Centre in your community. Once you submit the form, a Gladue services coordinator will call or email you within 72 hours.

Clinic providing prison-related legal aid (other than appeals) to people in federal and provincial prisons. Advocates help with issues including segregation, disciplinary hearings, involuntary transfers, parole suspensions, detention hearings, and sentence calculation. Services may range from summary advice to legal representation at hearings.

Provides free and confidential legal advice to anyone in BC who has been sexually assaulted. A lawyer explains your rights and legal options. You usually receive up to three hours, but if more time is needed, your lawyer can request an additional two hours. You’ll also be connected with other support services.

May provide legal advice, assistance, and representation to eligible clients who live in the Capital Regional District and who can’t afford a lawyer. They help with criminal matters, divorce, support and other family law matters, human rights complaints, and civil disputes. They also help with some hearings before administrative tribunals.
