If you have been the victim of a crime, this service can provide emotional support, information about your rights, and referrals for those living in Vancouver and Burnaby. You don’t need to report a crime to the police to receive help.

This service operates within Canada and helps migrant workers in the province of British Columbia to learn about their workplace rights and how to access services. It also help employers understand their duties when hiring workers.

Family Justice Centres provide services to British Columbians going through separation or divorce. Family Justice Counsellors help families with parenting arrangements, contact with a child, guardianship, and support issues. They provide short-term counselling, mediation, emergency and community referrals, and other free services.

For when you need help with family law issues that affect your everyday life. They can help assess what you need, provide information about your legal and related issues, and refer you to the services that are available for your situation. They offer self-help services, needs assessment, dispute resolution and mediation options, and more.

Staff lawyers and volunteer legal professionals can help eligible low-income older adults (55+) with drafting and executing wills, powers of attorney, and representation agreements.

Provides up to three hours of free legal advice to anyone in BC who has experienced their intimate images being shared without their consent or has been threatened with having their images shared. Their lawyer will explain your rights and legal options and help connect you with support services. This is a short-term pilot project until March 2025.

A province-wide, 24/7 multilingual service offering confidential support to young people impacted by youth violence or crime. Parents, teachers, and service providers who are worried about a young person's well-being can also seek assistance and information.

From promoting a more open government to protecting your privacy, the Commissioner enforces BC’s privacy and access laws. It handles disputes, complaints, and investigations, and provides guidance on access and privacy issues.

Law students will come to William Head Penitentiary and the Vancouver Island Regional Correctional Centre (Wilkinson Road) and may be able to provide advice and assistance to inmates.
