This chapter is from the manual used by law students handling cases at LSLAP’s legal clinics. It provides a summary of the law relating to debt and debtors’ rights, collections agencies, court order enforcement, and bankruptcy.
Explains the help available for children who are victims of crime. This includes agencies that can help and the PEACE (Prevention, Education, Advocacy, Counselling and Empowerment) programs which provide group and individual counselling for children aged three to eighteen.
A province-wide, 24/7 multilingual service offering confidential support to young people impacted by youth violence or crime. Parents, teachers, and service providers who are worried about a young person's well-being can also seek assistance and information.
