Issues covered include welfare, tenant information, EI, Canada Pension Plan disability, and more. They offer referrals for other issues. Please note, they don't give legal advice.

Provides legal advocacy services to people with low incomes who need legal information, advice, or representation on a wide range of legal problems such as income security, housing, disabilities, violence, and debt. It also provides public legal education and support for community organizations wishing to help clients with legal problems.

The Kinship Care Help Line serves callers from across BC. The helpline provides support, advocacy, and information to grandparents and other relatives raising a family member’s child.

Provides counselling, guidance, support, advice, referrals, education, and advocacy for First Nations, Indigenous families, and clients involved in child protection issues and other family matters. The advocate may also coordinate services needed by families or individuals in distress and will work closely with local reserves or community services.

Poverty Law Program help includes income assistance, appeals and tribunals, disability, applications and appeals, pensions, tenancy, dispute resolution, bankruptcy and debt, and employment.

The Poverty Law advocate provides on-one-one advice (referral, summary advice, or full representation) to low-income clients on a variety of legal topics.

The family law advocacy program provides support and knowledge as you navigate through your family law issues. The outreach and advocacy program helps clients with poverty law, domestic violence, and crisis prevention issues. Volunteers will help you navigate relevant social services and resources.

The focus is primarily on family law, including child protection, guardianship, parenting time, support, separation and divorce, and protection orders, with some assistance in other overlapping matters.
